Seeing Beyond The Surface

Dental radiographs allow us to spot any damage or disease and properly mitigate the problem.

If suspicious cavities or anomalies are questioned, you will be alerted to see your dentist or a referral can be made. To avoid too many dental x-rays, as a service to my patients, I will send a copy of the x-rays to the dentist of choice at no charge.

How Often Are X-rays Needed?
While this may vary depending on the person, the bare minimum for an x-ray is at your annual or bi-annual dental appointment and cleaning. Children often require more X-rays than adults due to the unpredictable and vulnerable nature of their teeth. New patients typically require more amount of x-rays initially to determine the overall condition of their mouth as a baseline and ensure their mouth health is at the optimal level.

Dental X-rays Safety
Because X-ray machines and other sources of dental radiographs are designed to minimize radiation, these processes are safe and your exposure is negligible. In fact, using digital X-rays further reduces radiation exposure. We also use a lead apron to protect your vital organs and thyroid.
